One word BLESSED!! My boyfriend and I are so blessed to have been able to stay at The Topaz Dream Castle! It is every bit of it’s name a Dream! From the pick up Cheri & Toney were nothing short of a Blessing allowing me to use their phone to contact my Jamaican boyfriend who wasn’t at the airport waiting and reassuring me that he would be ok. To the welcome greetings to the home and the amazing hard work and love they’ve put into the home! Toney cooked dinner for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it! This family is very wise,generous, hospitable and loved but most Importantly BLESSED! Thank you for everything you have done for us in these 5days and I would recommend your home to the world!!

This is real Jamaican living, but with American hot water!!!! (true Jamaican homes don’t have any) Tony is a great cook , so be sure to sample his food while you stay there. he has more knowledge than any book you can buy about Jamaican food and the natural uses for plants. He told me more types of teas then i can remember , plus made the best coffee i had tasted on the whole island! he offered to pick me up at the bus , gave me rides to the beach, and made sure i caught my plane on time. just the nicest man. Cheri is collecting Jamaican history like a bookworm. she knows all the great spots that may or may not be on the internet, as well as the names of the people there who can help you get the most out of the experience. She is a ray of sunshine, the type of person who truly views others not as strangers, but friends she has not met yet. As for the house , all i can say is i want one exactly like it, (but purple). you will want it too. About Jamaica, however long your holiday is for, trust me, its not enough time.

These guys are truly the best! So full of energy, so caring, sooo informative and are soo ready to just love on people and share what they have to the world. You HAVE to hear Cheri’s stories. A walking miracle! That explains why she is soo giving and kind. Toney was very accommodative. On short notice, he ran into the town and had no problem getting food for us. That sort of kindness is a rare commodity. His cooking- impeccable! I highly recommend Topaz Dream Palace to anyone looking for an amazing, simple place to relax. From our team, hats off to you both and may you be blessed beyond measure! Nuff love!

The location of this place is absolutely great. It’s in a very safe residential area away from the tourist area yet an extremely easy and cheap route taxi ride to the beaches and shopping. There is delicious and cheap local cuisine just down the corner. Cheri is incredibly informed and will tell you anything she can to help you enjoy your trip. The place is also adorable and so comfortable. If feels like coming home. I will absolutely stay here again when I come back.

Superior hospitality, warm and welcoming, kind, thoughtful and much more, these are the words that describe Cheri and Jah B as Superhosts. They accompanied me to Luminous Lagoon and joined me for dinner while also waiting for me . Jah B drove me to the Rasta garden which was awe inspiring. He loaned me chairs for Reggae Sumfest and cooked me a delicious breakfast($5). The apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious. AC, cable tv, WiFi, fridge, stove , toaster oven pots and utensils included . Felt very private and the veranda was a lovely touch. loved sitting outside and taking in the night air. The location is central, taxis are literally down the block at the corner and supermarkets and shops are in the same location. If you’re a night owl and you like your munchies at night make sure to pick up your items early in the day, shops start closing by 8:00 pm. 10 min ride to Hip Strip in a route taxi. The neighborhood is safe but as with anywhere you’re staying be mindful of your surroundings. I definitely recommend Jah B and Cheri as hosts and I will most definitely be booking the Topaz Palace in the near future, see ya soon.❤️

Jah B’s cooking is out of this world, and Cheri is such a good storyteller. You are in for such a treat if you book a stay with them! We will definitely be back again and again and again. Plus the sky lounge that they’ve built is incredible! And I loved doing yoga on the roof each morning. You will be grateful you booked with these two gems!!

I absolutely loved my trip. Before I say anything, the warnings about it being dangerous in Montego Bay or Jamaica in general is just wrong. Of course, you need to be wary of some bad areas, but all in all Jamaicans are extremely friendly and warm hearted. Staying at Topaz Dream is so amazing! Cheri and Jah B are able to comfortably show you the real Jamaica… not the overpriced and uninteresting resort experience at all. I got to snorkle on the reef for $25 US, swimming in the ocean is amazing… the Topaz B&B is beautiful, and very comfortable. The view is incredible, as you can even sit up on the roof overlooking Montego Bay. All in all, I met new friends, saw many things… like Tuff Gong studios in Kingston, Bob Marley’s house/museum, a Rastafari village, and many more things. The local food is great, and there is so much to take in and enjoy on the island. Lastly, I want to mention health. Learning to eat well, and seeing the vast amount of flora and fauna all around is just stunning. Do yourself a favor, and book with Topaz Dream. They go far out of their way to make you feel like you are part of the Jamaican family. It’s awesome!

Being my second time staying at the palace, I was very happy to be back in MoBay where every day starts with sun, if it rains it’s later, the smell of fires and cooking lingers, fruit is sweet, music hovers and irie it is. Cheri and Jah B offer a real home experience and will provide any info needed for moving around MoBay and the island with plenty of local knowledge. Again, as in my previous review, I urge visitors to stay outside of the all inclusive’s. Staying in residential MoBay gives for a more honest experience. I again found Jamaicans to be inquisitive, helpful, musical and humorous. Catching the local route taxi is one of my favourite things to do, taking an easy 3 mins to downtown MoBay where the locals shop. I like to walk to the beaches from the bottom of the route. Irie.

Expect a wonderful stay!! My family and I had an amazing time in Jamaica a huge part of it was because of Cheri! She was so knowledgeable on tourist locations, affordable shopping places, markets, bars, rainforests, books and so much more! Jah B’s cooking was fantastic, he was willing to cook for my husbands birthday(earth strong) on the rooftop which was sweet!! He was so happy, not to mention the stars are amazing up there! Thank you Cheri and Jah B for a great experience in Jamaica. We can’t wait to visit again on our journey!

Wow. Such amazing and caring hosts. Cheri is such a wonderful lady, as well as Jah B her husband. You can tell they really love what they do, and very much enjoy having guests over. From the moment I came in, they made me feel very welcome. Jah B brought my bags up for me and showed me all around. The space is so cute and tidy. I would definitely stay again. Cheri made me a delicious traditional Jamaican breakfast in the morning and told me all about the history of Jamaica. She was very helpful and extremely sweet. The location is right next to the airport and close to many beaches. They will even pick you up and drop you off at the airport for a small charge. I will definitely be coming back soon and highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Montego Bay!

Cheri is a warm, animated, and very welcoming hostess who is always growing! She just sent off her second manuscript for publication about her 25-year Jamaica Journey, Loving to be WE! She takes great interest in you personally, and pride in your satisfaction with her home. Cheri loves Jamaica. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience to guide you in any explorations you may wish. Any questions, just ask! Any concerns, she and Jah B will take care of you. If you’d like to rest and reflect, there are several areas including her rooftop and curved veranda areas where you can enjoy the breeze and just chill. If and when you want peace and quiet, I found this available for me as well. I was also here last year and was amazed at the many upgrades and changes she’s made, plus her many plans for the future! I came here because I did not want a resort experience. I enjoyed, so much, the sights and sounds of a typical working-middle class neighborhood with more bustling, adjacent neighborhoods of local, everyday island life. Soooo, I’m looking forward to my return visit.

My room was cool, cozy and serene. I slept well and awoke rested and refreshed, looking forward to a wonderful day in the sun. Thanks for your quick response to my need to shop, and to replace my medicine replacement. They have the most uplifting, healing, spacious, clean, beautiful place in a quiet community where I enjoyed immersing myself in the local culture and meeting the friendly neighbors, with a convenient market, taxi, take out food, and ice cream shop. I’ll write more when I return this week after a blitz to see another friend. I think I’ll stay for five weeks next time; this time was way too short. I love the cool breezes and views here too. I’m looking forward to coming back at least once every year (this is my 3rd visit), perhaps I’ll even move here! I will be returning again and again. Thank you, Anita.

What you see is what you get. Perfect description of the place and its amenities. Cheri is the sweetest and best B&B host I’ve had til this day. Always has amazing stories and is great at giving out ideas of where to go in Montego Bay and its surrounding areas. We stayed in cloud 9 which was the room on the top floor and had a great view. Supermarket and small food shops are within walking distance. All in all, great B&B in a nice and safe area. giving the guests a great experience of living within the locals instead of impersonal hotel experiences. Definitely recommend it to anyone wanting and planning on visiting Montego Bay, Jamaica.

My 14 year old daughter and I stayed at the Topaz Dream Palace with Cheri and JahB for 1 week. They were awesome hosts providing a great deal of information about the island. Cheri is very patient, kind and thorough in her explanations. JahB is an amazing chef. He provided us with the best vegetarian meals of all the vegetarian meals we ate in Jamaica. He also drove us to Ochos Rios & to some local venues. Because of our stay at Topaz Dream Palace with Cheri & JahB, our Jamaican experience was extremely culturally rich ♥️

Cette maison est toujours remplie de voyageurs et est pleine de bonnes énergies. Je ne me suis pas sentie dérangée par la présence des propriétaires, bien au contraire ! Jah B et Cheri sont toujours de bon conseil pour explorer la région . La conversation de Cheri est toujours intéressante. Le logement est très proche du centre (100 JMD pour aller jusqu’au centre et 100 JMD pour rejoindre Dr Caves Beach par personne). Très bon rapport qualité / prix / emplacement/ qualité des hôtes !

Cheri and Jah B are an awesome couple! They were accommodating as best as possible, both at home and any tourist spots you sought interested. The location felt safe, there are nearby markets, restaurants and en route taxis which is very convenient. Cloud 9 is an awesome spot where you can just relax especially during sunsets and night times overlooking the neighborhood.

Everything that is listed about Cheri & Jah B’s home is completely accurate. Let them know where you would like to go and they will provide the transportation along with some history of the area plus information about the sites during the trip. We felt like family during our entire stay (10 days). Jah B picked us up and took us to the airport; again just let them know this is a service that you are needing in advance. I will book with them again the next time I am in their area!

Ok so this is my 3rd time coming back to Topaz Dream Palace in Montego Bay. My heart is overjoyed every time. I have truly found my Montego Bay family. Cheri and Jah B are God sent. Each time it gets better and better! I recommend everyone to stay in this safe, comfortable, beautiful oasis in the community. I stayed in the incredible Cloud 9 suite again…I literally cannot stay anywhere else in the house…although all of the rooms are so special, the cloud 9 suite is just a gem. Hosting a women’s retreat in local Jamaica, we fully enjoyed ourselves every morning and night pon de rooftop(THAT’S THE SPOT!) Relaxing, chatting, dancing, eating, sipping, and holding a medz. We set up a meal plan during our stay and when I tell you Chef Jah B’s delicious, fresh eats just full up ya belly and leave you with a smile pon ya face. A new experience we had this time was visiting the Rasta Village which turned into a 5 hour moment in time. Meeting the people in the community there, learning, sharing, (Website hidden by Airbnb) was incredible. Very thankful for that. Other than that, we were very comfortable going in and out as we please all times of day and returning to our lovely Montego Bay home. One night I even was able to catch the end of the Dancehall street dance happening just at the end of the block down the road. That was fun. All in all, for me and the women I have brought, Topaz Dream Palace is always a 5 star stay. If you’re looking to support local Jamaica and have a wonderful alternative to the overpriced generic closed off resorts…THIS IS FOR YOU. And it will exceed all your expectations.

Ms. Cheri and Mr. Jah B are the best! They are very particular to detail, with personality and positivity being the driving force. On our first day of arrival in Jamaica, even though we weren’t staying with them initially they still came and picked us up at the airport and drove us safely to our resort. Then upon leaving the resort, we were promptly picked up and taken to the Dream Palace, Cloud 9 room and what more could I say about it! It was clean, filled with sunlight, and clean bathroom, and what topped it off was the 2 person Jacuzzi in the bathroom! And what could we say about Jah B’s cooking we had breakfast twice, dinner twice, and lunch and boy oh boy what a delicacy, anyone who stays has to eat those glorious meals! We loved each and every aspect of our stay from the history of Jamaica from both Ms. Cherie and Jah B and the wonders of Jamaica as a whole. We cannot wait to return back to the Dream Palace and spend more time with the hosts!
